BIENNALE INTERNATIONALE DESIGN IN SAINT-ÉTIENNE
The Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne has been a major cultural event in France and in Europe since 1998 (16th cultural event in world according to Art magazine). Organised by the city of Saint-Étienne, the only French city labelled “Unesco Creative City of Design”, and by the metropolis of Saint-Étienne, it welcomes 230,000 visitors each year from all over the world (designers, researchers, companies and economic players, intellectuals, students, art enthusiasts…) to question the practice of design and experiment with its methods.
