The PEC Group has set up shop in Savoie
The Plastic Electromechanic Company (PEC) has set up a local site to be closer to one of their clients.
The Plastic Electromechanic Company is a group of companies, specialised in the manufacture of injection moulds, technical plastics, systems integration, electrical sub-assemblies, wired cables and loose ducting.
The PEC head office is in Tunisia, and the group is active in three production sites around the world: France (Angers), Tunisia and Morocco, and they have two development sites in Tunisia and China.
They employ more than 750 people and boast a 15,250m² production space.
The PEC Group has a fully diversified client portfolio, representing hundreds of industrial companies throughout the world. These include some of the biggest companies in their market, and in a variety of sectors (automobile, medical, aeronautics, construction, etc.).
They were aided in their search for new premises by the Savoie branch of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises. They eventually decided to purchase a 2,800m² building in the Alpespace business park, near Staübli (who already work with PEC for assembly and construction). The overall cost of this project came to around 3 million euros (building, fixtures, equipment, miscellaneous costs).
The Agency also helped with their recruitment operations – the PEC Group intends to create 35 jobs this year and another 80 in 2021 – and with the implementation of their information system using their Digital small-business resources.
