Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises was proud to jointly host the regional pavilion
Viva Technology was back in Paris from 24th to 26th May 2018. This event is dedicated to start-ups and new technology; it is now an international show and has become one of the biggest in its sector. For their third show, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes occupied a stand covering almost 400m² and focused on two key regional themes: agri-tech and food-tech.
32 start-ups joined them in the “Regional LAB” to showcase their latest innovations.
The show saw three intense days of pitches, workshops, conferences and demonstrations.
As a major partner, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises played an active role in the programme over all three days, and in the demonstrations and events at the stand.
In particular, they were members of the judging panel in 2 challenges, #Agritech and #Foodtech, which were won by Id4Feed and Baguette Academy, respectively.
The agency was also on hand to host a series of round tables about Big Data, artificial intelligence and international development.
They organised a keynote speech about why Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes was the perfect location for digital companies, which was given by Annabel André-Laurent, the Assistant Regional Council for the Economy.
The agency’s staff were out in force on the site, answering questions from almost 150 project directors about setting up, getting financing, working internationally, innovation and jobs.
Lastly, the agency hosted a meeting between regional start-ups and French and overseas VC investors to facilitate local investment and financing.
